designer
After working as a model, she started knit production by herself in 2016. She has received feedback from Japan and around the world via SNS, and launched "snowdon knit' couture" in 2018. She moved to New York last fall.
She creates one-of-a-kind knit pieces handmade by herself.
The yarns used are a mix of current yarns from Japan and abroad, as well as stock and rare vintage yarns that she finds.
She believes that by knitting with stock yarns, “I give new value to yarns that could have been discarded.”
She also uses a lot of silk yarns from Fukagawa silkworms, which are very close to "wata" (cotton), and are made from cocoons by very careful handwork.
She is trying to make products that are lively and allow you to feel the nature.
